Repeat Prescription Line No Longer Available

Repeat Prescription Line Requests

We do not take repeat medication requests over the telephone. You can order a repeat prescription by the followings methods:

1. Repeat Prescription Forms available at reception and posting in the post box in the reception area.
2. Posting the repeat slip attached to your prescription to Somerset Bridge Medical Centre.
3. Via Pharmacy - repeat prescriptions can be requested directly from the pharmacist.
4. Prescription Request Form - complete the form and submit.

Pneumovaccines

Somerset Bridge Medical Centre has a policy to contact their patients to remind them to attend the surgery to have their pneumo vaccine. As well as people 65 years and over, pneumococcal vaccine is also recommended for adults and children who are at an increased risk of getting pneumococcal disease because of one of the following conditions:

• Serious breathing problems, such as chronic bronchitis or emphysema
• Serious heart conditions
• Severe kidney disease
• Long term liver disease
• Diabetes that needs medication
• Immunosuppression due to disease or treatment, for example, chemotherapy or radio therapy treatment for cancer or long-term steroid conditions such as asthma; and problems with the spleen, either because the spleen has been removed (asplenia) or doesn’t work properly, for example, sickle cell disease

Appointments following a Bank Holiday

Just to remind patients that following a Bank Holiday the surgery is usually very busy on the Tuesday and often the rest of the week. If possible, it is best to avoid booking none urgent routine appointments until the following week.
