Prescription Requests

greenpillsRepeat prescriptions can be obtained in the following ways. We do however ask patients to allow 2 WORKING DAYS in order for us to process your request.

Request at Reception or by Post

Repeat prescriptions can be requested using forms available in reception and then dropping the form in to reception, or simply by posting the slip that comes with your prescription giving your medication details, requests can also be sent via Royal Mail.

Via Pharmacy

Repeat prescriptions no longer need to be requested from the surgery using the telephone but can be requested directly from the pharmacist. The pharmacists in Bridgwater are working with the surgery to reduce the number of steps a patient takes to get their medication.

Just phone the pharmacist of your choice, request the repeat medication from them and allow 3 days before you collect your medication from that pharmacy. For the pharmacies involved in this service development please use the following telephone numbers:

Telephone Requests.

Repeat prescriptions can be obtained by telephoning the practice on 0844 4772 593.  Patients should ensure that they have their medication details to hand before ringing. To avoid unnecessary delays, it is advised that patients try to avoid telephoning the practice during peak times (8 - 9am) to request repeat prescriptions.

Repeat Dispensing Scheme

A new way to get your regular prescriptions

If you or someone you care for uses the same medicines regularly, you may be able to benefit from repeat dispensing from the pharmacist. This means you won’t have to visit the surgery or make an appointment to see the doctor or practice nurse every time you need more medicine.

To find out further information talk to your doctor, local pharmacist or our Prescribing Manager.
